Thank you for booking your move with Bailey & Son Moving and Storage! Please read the terms and conditions for our services below in its entirety. These terms apply to all moves that are scheduled and completed by our company.

Terms and Conditions? 

Reservation Deposit

It is required for each move. After a move is booked/reserved, our sales rep will request a one-time payment to secure your moving date. The deposit will apply directly to your moving bill. The deposit amount will depend on whether your move is considered local or long-distance. We will require an hour deposit for local moves, and for long-distance moves, we will require up to 25%. Deposits are fully refundable if the cancellation notice is 72 hours before the original moving date.

Cancellations

In order to receive a full refund of your reservation deposit please call/email at least 72 hours before the original moving date.

Re-Scheduling

We strive to provide flexibility to our customers. Re-scheduling request are honored only after a telephone conversation with our sales rep and/or office manager at least 72 hours before the move, and subject to crew availability and pricing changes.

No Show Policy

Once you’ve submitted the moving reservation you expect the professional movers to be on time to move you. Once we collect the reservation deposit, we commit our movers to service you, and expect the customer to meet them. In the event our movers are not met at your doorsteps 100% of a minimal quote amount will be billed to your credit card on file.

Last Minute Cancellation/ Re-Scheduling

Should you cancel, reschedule or postpone your move within 24 hours of your move date; you will be billed $100.00 in addition to your deposit being non-refundable. Cancellation on the date of your move will result in a cancellation fee of $250.00 in addition to your deposit being non-refundable that will be charged to card on file.

Inclement Weather

Bailey & Son Moving and Storage reserve the right to cancel and/or re-schedule any move due to inclement weather conditions such as but not limited to heavy snowstorm, icy conditions, severe rainfall, non-visible driving conditions(such as substantial fog), extreme heat etc.  Bailey & Son Moving and Storage also reserve the right to cancel and/or re-schedule any move due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Right Of Refusal

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any move on move day when movers arrive if the information that you provide to our office is inaccurate or incorrect. We reserve the right to refuse service if, at our sole discretion, the move conditions are dangerous, abusive or unsanitary. A $250.00 non-refundable cancellation fee will be applied. In the event that we exercise our right to refuse service, Bailey & Son Moving and Storage will not be held liable to the customer or any other entity for direct or consequential damages.

Basic Liability

Released value liability(0.60 per lb per item) is included in your move rate. This is the basic coverage and is not replacement value insurance.

Parking Tickets

Elevator, loading dock reservations and parking permits are the sole responsibility of the customer. Any parking tickets received on moving day are the sole responsibility of the customer and the amount shall be added to the invoice.

Arrival Time

You’ve been given an estimated arrival window. Our crew will do all that they can to arrive within that timeframe however there are many factors outside of our control(weather, traffic, and delay from moves prior to yours) that can delay arrival time. For that reason arrivals time is estimated only and never guaranteed.  There will be no discounts or refunds permitted after the move begins.

Packing Supplies

The moving truck is equipped with extra packing supplies in case they are needed. Included in your move rate are moving pads and up to 3 rental wardrobe boxes which must be returned at the end of the move. Additional packing supplies such as boxes, tape, mattress and sofa covers, wrapping paper etc, maybe an additional cost depending upon your estimate.
